Laboratories using dangerous and toxic substances are faced with the challenge of safely disposing of their chemical waste. With a new and innovative SaaS solution Chemishield have made this process safer, greener and more compliant. With the launch of Chemishield’s newly designed website we helped them communicate the unique features of their product.

We designed a series of animated explainer videos in line with their brand style guidelines. These videos effectively illustrated Chemishield’s unique design into easily digestible pieces of information.

Chemishield was entirely self-funded and took two years to build their platform. Initially it was important to ease new user’s experience by providing an overview of the entire safety disposal process. We helped with this by providing a screen capture tutorial of how to use their system. 

While this comprehensive step-by-step look at Chemishield’s process works well for new customers or demo users, they needed a condensed and appealing way to engage with those at the top of the sales funnel.

This posed the challenge of condensing a robust, feature heavy product to a short one minute animated video. To successfully accomplish this we first worked along with them in writing a concise script. We focused primarily on Chemishield’s unique selling points and features, emphasizing how the software can make labs safer, greener and compliant with regulatory standards.

We then created a series of style boards informed by their brand identity and pre-existing icons and graphics. From these approved designs we crafted a storyboard and video animatic timing out the action ready for animation. When the animation was completed for each shot we edited them together along with sound effects and recorded voice-over. See our work in action on their website Chemishield.com.
